Set Squares or Triangles

They are primarily used for drawing vertical and inclined lines with the T-square as a guide.

The best are clear plastics because they allow visibility of the work underneath.

The adjustable set square is the most versatile as it can be set to any angle because of the protractor scale attached to it. It also has a good finger-lift facility.

Quality

All the working edges should be square or stepped not bevelled to avoid smudging or blotting.

The size of the set square is measured by the length of its longest side (hypotenuse)
